Our new pneumatic box stacker allows operators to seal multiple cartons uninterrupted prior to palletizing. The stacker accommodates a wide range of box sizes and weights. Max stack is determined by box weight and the system can hold up to 120 pounds. Our design allows for the system to be assembled either right or left-handed. You can pair the box stacker with your current case sealer or purchase with an EdgeTec taping machine as a complete solution for your line.
Top Film Applicator – PTA-ET2-T200/400
Our new applicator head can be placed over stationary or moving objects to apply a multitude of adhesive materials: from protective films, tapes (single and double sided), to hook and loop. The applicator head can run material widths down to ½” and up to 4”. With custom programming the head can apply any pattern needed and has a tolerance of ± ½” when running at 150 ft/min. Heads can be placed side by side or inline. In the linked video two heads were placed over a Dorner conveyor to apply protective film to door thresholds.
Inline Flap Folding – FFT-4-L
Our new flap folding system allows for an operator to fold all 4 flaps of an FOL Box in one motion. Paired with our L-Clip machine, the flap folder offers the perfect solution to quickly fold and seal tubes and other boxes. We also offer additional models of our flap folder to assist in folding and holding flaps prior to taping. Our sales team can work with you to find the perfect solution to assist in your flap folding needs.
EdgeTec Tape Aware System
All machines sold by EdgeTec can now be paired with our Tape Aware System. With Tape Aware you can monitor all taping activities and prevent common issues that cause down time. The system detects low tape levels, no tape situations, missed tape applies and missed cuts. The system can be sold with a light tree to alert operators of these situations. The unit can also communicate with your production line to notify other machines or remote personal of any issues before they affect your production line. When paired with an HMI it can show important data on cycle time, throughput and equipment runtime and downtime.

EdgeTec Automation is excited to announce four new L-Clip models that cover a wide range of specialty tape applications. The All-Electric L-Clip, the Variable Tape Leg L-Clip, the Triangle Tube L-Clip, and the 4×4 L-Clip are now in stock. L-Clip New Models
All-Electric L-Clip
Need a taper but don’t have access to compressed air? Our new All-Electric L-Clip is the right taper for you! Servo motors and linear rails apply tape smoothly and consistently, with less noise and a reduced lifetime cost. The machine’s cycle time is under 3 seconds, keeping pace with production lines.
Variable Tape Leg L-Clip
Our new Variable Tape Leg L-Clip allows for modification of both the vertical and horizontal tape lengths. The customer can set the unit for any combination of 1-inch, 1.5-inch, and 2-inch tape legs. Tape a wider variety of box sizes and reduce tape costs!
Triangle Tube L-Clip
Get a secure closure on triangular tubes, boxes, and wraps – any box wall angle between 45 and 90 degrees. Triangle Tube L-Clips are designed to apply tape to your item’s unique box wall angle.
4×4 L-Clip
Need longer tape legs? The 4×4 L-Clip smoothly applies 4-inch horizontal and vertical of tape legs for a total of 8 inches of tape per application. A complete redesign of the apply unit allows the 4×4 L-Clip to run just as quickly as our standard machine, but applying 37% more tape.
L-Clip Series Key Improvements
In the EdgeTec spirit of continuous improvement, we’ve also been upgrading features on allL-Clip models to increase the machine’s durability and reliability. Additionally, all L-Clip series machines now feature metric hardware, powder coated steel components, and by request, can be built to run on 220 power.
Redesigned Apply Arm
The new laser-cut apply arm has an increased thickness (1/4” carbon steel) and an optimized contour to minimize high-stress zones. Computation analysis and field testing show a 30% improvement in strength.
Pivot Point Upgrade
A Delrin rod now allows for better contact and less wear on the apply arm strike surface. Endurance testing confirmed the Delrin material characteristics provide greater longevity compared to the previous version.
Optimized Cylinder Length
A shorter stroke length better utilizes the cylinder’s air cushion and increases its life. It also reduces overall machine vibration and makes for quieter operation.
Improved Button Functionality
A redesigned cover features a new push plate and larger, flush-mount buttons. This improved design activates the buttons more efficiently and increases button life. The result has been a drastic reduction in button replacement orders.
Welded Apply Bracket
The new welded apply bracket improves on the previous bolted design.
Multi-Head Units Now Closer
The minimum distance between tape heads on any L-Clip series machine has been reduced from 10.5 inches to a slim 8.75 inches!
